Film Archivist
Efi Sri Handayani
Efi Sri Handayani is a female activist with interest in art and film preservation. She is also part of the PurpleCode Collective, which works on intersectional issues of gender, human rights, and technology. Previously worked as an archivist at Indonesian Film Center Foundation. Currently she is an independent archivist, and working on archiving and tracing the works of women in Indonesian cinema with Kelas Liarsip. She is an active member of SouthEast Asian Pacific Audio Visual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA).
Seorang perempuan aktivis yang memiliki ketertarikan dengan seni dan pelestarian film. Efi juga bagian dari PurpleCode Collective, sebuah kolektif yang bekerja di isu interseksional gender, hak asasi manusia, dan teknologi. Pernah bekerja sebagai arsiparis di Yayasan Pusat Film Indonesia. Saat ini sedang menjalankan kerja-kerja pengarsipan dan penelusuran karya perempuan-perempuan dalam sinema Indonesia bersama Kelas Liarsip. Ia merupakan member aktif di SouthEast Asian Pacific Audio Visual Archive Association (SEAPAVAA).

Julita Pratiwi
Also known as Juju, a film researcher/ lecturer. She just graduated from the Moving Images Archiving and Preservation, NYU Tisch in 2024. She has a research interest on film history, theory, and preservation. Currently, she's working as an independent film writer-researcher for Indonesian Cinematographers Society (ICS) to trace the history of cinematography in Indonesia under Telisik Sejarah Sinematografi program. She also teaches film theory in SAE Institute, Jakarta. Besides, taking care of Kelas Liarsip, she's still actively write #grandmotheroldbook journal. Silently, she gathered film-wasted as a way to engaged more with the idea of film and the code of decay.
Lebih akrab dengan sapaan Juju merupakan peneliti dan pengajar sejarah dan teori film. Ia menamatkan studi masternya dengan spesialisasi arsip dan preservasi gambar bergerak di New York University. Ia meletakkan minat yang besar pada perkembangan estetika sinematografi, preservasi film, dan film berwarna. Ia juga menjadi periset independen dalam program Telisik Sejarah Sinematografi di bawah naungan asosiasi Indonesian Cinematographers Society (ICS). Kini ia mengajar teori film di SAE Institut Jakarta. Di samping aktif mengurus Kelas Liarsip, ia tetap menulis jurnal #GrandMotherOldBook. Diam-diam, ia mengumpulkan sisa-sisa potongan film terbuang untuk menyelidiki lebih jauh gagasan film dan kode pelapukan.

Lisabona Rahman
Lisabona Rahman studied moving image preservation and presentation in Amsterdam. Her approach comes from the intersecting interests on cinema practice and history in post-colonial societies, transnational network and women's work. She conducts performative lectures involving stories deriving from filmic artifacts. Lisabona also has been creating archival film screening programs for festivals, archives, and galleries. Her works were created and shown with the support of different institutions such as the Arsenal Institut in Berlin, EYE Filmmuseum Amsterdam, Film Archive Public Organization of Thailand, and rubanah underground hub Jakarta. Since 2018, she also conducts knowledge sharing activities related to analog film and ways of tracing their life histories, which have taken place in different cities such as Berlin, Cairo, and Jakarta. Lisabona Rahman is also a co-founder of Sekolah Pemikiran Perempuan (School of Womens' Thoughts) - a collective of feminist artists, writers, and cultural workers who actively create events to for the circulation of knowledge among feminists of the Nusantara archipelago.
Pelaku pelestarian dan programmer film dengan ketertarikan khusus terhadap praktik kajian sejarah kritis dan pemikiran perempuan. Lisabona memberikan konsultasi pelestarian film kepada beberapa lembaga seperti Arsenal Institut (Berlin), Yayasan Pusat Film Indonesia (Jakarta) dan arsip film Cimatheque (Cairo). Bersama dengan rekan-rekan puan dari beragam latar belakang, Lisabona menjalankan penyelenggaraan presentasi publik dalam bentuk pemutaran film, pameran, berbagai format siaran serta praktik sirkulasi pengetahuan feminis dalam bentuk kelompok belajar (Sekolah Pemikiran Perempuan dan Kelas Liarsip).

Umi Lestari
Umi Lestari is a writer, researcher, and teacher. She explores on the history, the aesthetics, and the politics of Indonesian cinema and its interdisciplinary aspects. Her scholarly articles have appeared in journals such as Southeast of Now and Korea and and Asian Arts. She has received New Emerging Writers Fellowship from Southeast of Now Journal. Besides given talks as an invited speaker at film festivals and academic forums, Umi has written articles for several online magazines such as Nan and Jurnal Footage. Currently, Umi Lestari is a lecturer at Film Department, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. Umi is part of Kelas Liarsip, a collective consists of women and non-binary aiming to decipher the male dominated film scene in the history of Indonesian Cinema. Kelas Liarsip's ongoing project is to research women's agency in Indonesian cinema and take part in the digitization project of Ratna Asmara.
Penulis, pengajar, peneliti sejarah film, dan kurator. Ia tertarik untuk meneliti film Indonesia klasik dan kelindannya dengan seni lain seperti seni rupa dan sastra. Tahun 2021, Umi menjadi kurator untuk pameran “B. Resobowo” di Galeri Nasional Indonesia. Saat ini, Umi menjadi dosen untuk Sejarah Film Indonesia, Kajian Film, dan Estetika Gambar Bergerak di Program Studi Film, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.

Imelda T. Mandala
Imelda Taurina Mandala is an artist and art enthusiast. Imel’s artworks usually manifested in the form of visuals such as photography, video, and performance art. Imel is also involved in collaborative practice and organizing the creation of critical public space in Indonesia post reformation era. Imel actively established a dialogue space surrounding art, cinema, gender, particularly outside the binary convention. Recently, besides still being an art enthusiast, Imel begin to explore cooking.
Praktisi dan penggemar seni lintas disiplin. Kegiatan seninya antara lain diwujudkan ke dalam bentuk visual seperti fotografi dan video, atau presentasi performatif bersama dengan rekan-rekan seniman lainnya. Imel juga terlibat dalam praktik kerja kolaboratif serta pengorganisasian kegiatan atau penciptaan ruang berpikir kritis di Indonesia pada masa pasca Reformasi. Ia secara aktif membentuk ruang-ruang dialog mengenai seni, sinema dan subjektifitas gender di luar pemahaman biner yang dianggap baku di dalam masyarakat. Sekarang lebih banyak memasak dan mengkonsumsi seni.

Siti Anisah
Siti Anisah (1988-2021) also known as Anis, was born in Bumiayu, Central Java. She graduated from Jakarta Institute of Arts with a Script-writing major. She had experience writing film scripts for short films. Besides, Anis also involve in film screening programs such as Jakarta Art Council’s Kineforum, JiFFest, Decompression #10 ruangrupa, Chopshots Documentary Film Festival 2012, XXI Short Film Festival, etc. She had experience in film preservation fields by be a part of Yayasan Pusat Film Indonesia (ID Film Center). She is also a part of the Sinema Kopi Hitam (Black Coffee Cinema) community. In 2009, Anis had worked in preservation works, particularly tracing neglected film elements which potentially could still be restored and preserved. Unfortunately, in 2018 her health condition got worse. She was diagnosed with cancer and became a survivor until passed away in 2021.
Siti Anisah (1988-2021)–biasa dipanggil Anis–adalah puan kelahiran Bumiayu. Ia merupakan lulusan Institut Kesenian Jakarta dengan peminatan Penulisan Skenario, sehingga telah terlibat menulis skenario untuk beberapa film pendek. Selain itu, Anis juga berkecimpung di kerja-kerja penyelenggaraan pemutaran film, seperti di Kineforum Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, festival film JiFFest, Decompression #10 ruangrupa, Chopshots Documentary Film Festival 2012, XXI Short Film Festival, dan ragam kegiatan lainnya. Anis pernah terlibat dalam kerja preservasi film di Yayasan Pusat Film Indonesia. Ia juga menjadi anggota dari komunitas Sinema Kopi Hitam. Sejak 2009, Anis banyak terlibat di kerja pengarsipan, utamanya melacak sumber-sumber film dan menelusuri koleksi-koleksi yang terabaikan untuk memungkinkan diselamatkan. Namun pada 2018 kondisi kesehatannya mulai memburuk. Anis didiagnosis kanker stadium lanjut dan selama beberapa tahun berjuang melawan penyakitnya, hingga kemudian berpulang pada tahun 2021.
